Ike left a huge mess at my grandfather's house, but luckily, there was no flooding. My little Honda (actually mom's now since I moved) got a smash in the windshield.
Lizzie and Josh help clean up the old plum tree that was uprooted during the storm.
Even when she's working hard, Lizzie still looks pretty cute in Granddaddy's old hard hat.
It's been awful with all the damage. My mom in Baytown was fine, but the rest of my family in Bridge City lost their homes. We think my dad's house is ok, but my grandmother, great aunt, and another aunt and uncle may not be able to re-build. They had several feet of salt water in their homes. I hope they can rebuild but we will see.
