These two pictures are cool because they show the same spot on Varick Street in New York in the morning and at night. This is a spot John passes everyday when he walks to the studio. When the Twin Towers were still standing, they could be seen straight ahead in the skyline. John would look at the sunlight reflecting off the Towers every morning from this spot.
